Product Description
A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Kotobukiya has been creating amazing model kits celebrating the giant robots of Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse for years, and now the line will expand to include the Tactical Surface Fighters of the prequel series Schwarzesmarken. Set 18 years before Eclipse, the story follows the East German Army’s 666th TSF Squadron during the BETA invasion of Europe. The first robot coming to life from that series is the MIG-21PF BALALAIKA, an early model fielded by the Soviet Union and based on the original F-4R. This 1st generation TSF has thick, blocky armor but you can see some aerodynamic fighter jet influences in the rear jump units. The Balalaika also has a very distinctive head unit with a pointed chin and tall sensor mast. The MiG-21PF is comprised of 450 pieces pre-colored in drab gray and green with black and orange details so no painting is required. It features multiple points of articulation as well as tons of swap-out parts and weapons for a huge array of posing options! The MiG-21PF Balalaika stands 7 inches tall and it’s just the first amazing model kit in a new series of robots from Schwarzesmarken.
