SRP: $99.99 USD (11,000 JPY)

Month of Release (in Japan): August 2020

Available exclusively at Kotobukiya Stores in Japan! Worldwide customers will be able to preorder this product through select local retailers!

…This is way too cute!

I may be slightly biased because I’m the product planner, but it really is super cute.

Let me just put this out there…

This is a limited edition item and is only available in limited quantities. We have no plans to reproduce this particular item!!!

Availability is based on the number of pieces available, and pre-orders may sell out at certain retailers.

Pre-order as soon as possible in order to secure your statue!

Some people may be wondering, “So what’s different about this statue from the original Pinkie Pie BISHOUJO?” Well, let me explain!

The color variation isn’t the only difference!

Up-Close Detail #1: The Detail in the Sparkly Hair

Display her in front of a black background to see all the detailed glitter on the clear pink hair!

Can you see how shiny it is? Now, let’s look at the full statue!

Even the pony is sparkly!

The mane and tail are made with the same materials as the Pinkie Pie BISHOUJO version! It’s so shiny and is the epitome of cute!

It’s a little hard to tell from this photo, but the base is also made of a clear, pink plastic full of glitter. The entire statue from top to bottom are super adorable!

The candy-like look and texture of this figure make it seem like she might be giving off a sweet scent.

We were very particular about the way the sparkles would look when manufactured, so we experimented with various methods of including sparkles into the statue. Much care and detail was put into the statue to create the candy-like look and feel, all while retaining the color and atmosphere that would harmonize with the appearance of the MY LITTLE PONY BISHOUJO series!

We tested a few methods to create the statue you see now:

  • The Size of the glitter → We compared several sizes and types of glitters to see what would match best with the overall design.
  • Spray paint glitter → We decided against this technique because there may be too much variation among statues, and the sparkles will not be able to reach the crevices of each lock of hair.
  • Knead the glitter into the plastic material → This worked much better than ②! But the glitter wasn’t nearly as shiny as I wanted it to look…
  • Use glossy paint as a topcoat → This step created a super candy-like texture!
  • Try hand-painting the entire hair part (including the nubs to attach each part) → This added too much glitter to the statue, and it made the cut between the parts more visible…

After a lot of trial and error, we finally achieved the cuteness that is this statue by combining the techniques of ③ and ④: knead the material with glitter, then paint the parts with a glossy topcoat. ♪

Up-Close Detail #2: True-to-Original Body Color

On the right is our original release of Pinkie Pie, and the Pinkie Pie on the left shows the limited edition variant!

Can you tell the difference?

That’s right! The BISHOUJO Pinkie Pie’s body has been painted in pink; just like the pony!

The little pony version of Pinkie Pie that is affixed to the base has also been painted with a slightly more vibrant pink than our original rendition.

The depth of the pink color has been fine-tuned so that the BISHOUJO-style Pinkie Pie doesn’t look unnatural.

And you can clearly see that the glitter can be seen throughout the entire part; even to the tip of each strand of hair. ♪

Up-Close Detail #3: The Sparkly Package Design ☆彡

For the first time ever in the BISHOUJO series, we bring to you a holographic package design!

When I first saw the sample package design, I thought, “maybe I went a little overboard…”

But that’s okay, because it’s a limited edition!

Clear parts, glitter, holographic design… It includes everything that even a full-grown adult would be tempted to own!

Look at the original variant and limited edition variants side-by-side as a set!

This all-new color variant version of Pinkie Pie would be sure to please even fans who own the original variant!

Reminder: For customers in Japan, this product is only available at Kotobukiya retail or online stores!!

For international customers, pre-order is available now! Check with your local retailer for availability details!
